Tax consulting takes the form of preparing estimated tax payments on a quarterly basis at the lowest amount to avoid a penalty. It also involves looking at a client’s financial and tax status to determine if there are ways to legally reduce taxes by taking advantage of tax breaks or making investments. I like to see my tax clients quarterly if they need estimated payments and many of my clients in December to see if there are strategies that may lower or postpone the amount of income taxes paid for the year.
